“Welcome to the Colosseum” sung by Master Hand and ensemble
based on “L’amour est un oiseau rebelle” aka “the Habanera” from Georges Bizet’s Carmen
lyrics by Liz Rishel
Welcome to the colosseum.
You’re here to prove how strong you are
I will call ‘em as I see ‘em-
The winner will be the next game star.
Friends and foes they’re all the same.
You have to fight, and you can’t refuse.
There is one way to win this game.
If you show mercy, you’re sure to lose.
All Chal-lengers, step to- the ring.
(Characters sing under Master Hand as they march in)
“Here we are in the collosseum
we have to fight if we want to play
we’ll be left in the game museum
unless we win our match today.”
Your own survival is about
to be in jeopardy, I must confess.
The goal is knock the others out.
You have to weaken them for sure success.
You battle for your very lives
But there’s one point that you must understand
Only the strongest one survives.
And any problems can talk tooooooo the hand!
